Anything Not To Like About The Kelty Gunnison 2.1 Tent?

We really like the space and excellent weather proofing the Kelty Gunnison 2.1 offers, but if we had to criticize, we should point out that at nearly 6 pounds, it’s on the heavy side for a 2 person backpacking tent. This issue can easily be resolved by breaking it up between two people. It’s simply a trade-off for the fact that this is a BIG 2 person tent.

Also on the issue of incredible weather proofing, the fantastic insulation that you enjoy with the Gunnison 2.1 in colder weather can be an irritation in the summer if you leave the rainfly on. It can definitely get a bit warm, but with the side-release tent-fly connection, it’s easy to pop off the rainfly in warmer temperatures..
